1.14.1—Sex/Gender Discrimination, Harassment and/or Sexual Misconduct


Whenever Michigan Tech gets a study of sex/gender based discrimination, harassment and/ or sexual misconduct, the campus Title IX Coordinator is notified. The University will react to violations of the policy through a number of paths, informally and/or formally, aided by the objective of educating all ongoing events included.


The Title IX Coordinator, or designee, will provide assist with the reporting party and responding party in the shape of interim measures such as for example possibilities including yet not restricted to educational rooms; alterations in housing; visa and immigration assistance; no contact requests, alterations in working circumstances; along with other support as might be appropriate and available on campus or perhaps in town. The Title IX Coordinator may implement an interim action(s) as required to protect town and interested events, pending the culmination of any review, research or appeal procedure.

A victim’s advocate, local community agencies and/or law enforcement for support if the reporting party so desires, they can be connected with a counselor.

Michigan Tech can assist the party that is reporting making these connections. No party that is reporting needed to make use of these types of services and resources, but Michigan Tech provides them within the hopes of providing support and help without condition or certification.
